Jimmy Maslon, owner of Los Angeles-based Ahi-Nama Music, the country&#8217;s             leading independent label for Cuban music, said Miami hosting the Latin             Grammys would have had been of historic significance. &#8220;Ultimately, I             would like to see the Grammys held in Miami, because it&#8217;s the gateway             to Latin America,&#8221; said Maslon, who had just returned from a business             trip to Cuba. &#8220;At least they didn&#8217;t get the chance to disrupt everything             this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\ufeff<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los Angeles Times &#8211; Tuesday, August 21st 2001 Safety Cited as Latin Grammys Moved to L.A.
